Keepin' It Real In Early Childhood: Write On! Early Writing Experiences
AT135631 -- ST10122645

Event Description

What is early writing really all about? What do we mean by prewriting skills? There are so many skills to develop before a child even picks up a pencil, but what are they and how do I set up an appropriate environment? How does gross motor have anything to do with a child's ability to form letters? How do I set up a writing center that children will actually use? Let’s explore the answers to these questions and more, as we look at what it takes to support beginning writers in your early childhood classroom. Leave the training with a list of early writing components as well as lots of practical ideas to implement in your own preschool setting.
