Starting a Child Care Program (Live On-line)

Event Description

Are you interested in opening a child care center or family child care home in Ohio? Join us for this interactive session to learn how to be a successful child care owner. Topics discussed include types of care; personal and professional attributes; national, state, and local trends in child care; understanding the true cost of care; and the phases of building a strong program. Professional and local community resources to support your business will be shared. Please note: this training does not take the place of the ODJFS Pre-Licensing training requirement. This training takes place on-line, taught by an instructor in real time. It must be attended at the scheduled date and time.

Sessions / Training Location Info

This session is LIVE On-Line, so registered participants are required to attend at the scheduled dates/times using Zoom. Log-On information will be emailed to registered participants within 24 hours of the scheduled date/time. Participants will be required to use Chat on Zoom to demonstrate their ongoing participation for the entire time, so should plan on being focused only on the training. Participation is typically easier using Laptops or tablets instead of smart phones. Attending training online requires the same level of focused attention as attending a class in person. Please also make sure that your OCCRRA profile information, including your email address, is up-to-date so that we are able to contact you with important info, including the log-on link.
