There are many words that describe what we do in the profession of early childhood education. Who gets to decide what words define you? If you are paid to teach and/or care for young children, whether in a center, preschool, non-profit, or home care setting, then you are an early childhood professional in fact, and should also be a professional in attitude. This training will introduce you to the historical evolution of the field in order to understand why we do what we do the way we do it, and will help you to define yourself as a professional in the field of early childhood education and care, and will help you begin to create a personal assessment of your professional accomplishments and goals. NOTE: This training was previously titled "Teacher? Caregiver? Educarer? Defining Your Professional Identity" for SUTQ approval; the new title is for the Ohio Approved version. If you have already taken the previously titled training, you can not receive credit for a second time for this new title.
