This session is intended for the program staff that plans the program's menu, for example the cook, program administrator or the family child care provider. Participants will discuss planning a healthy balanced menu that includes current guidelines, that is enticing for children and working with a budget that supports healthy food options. Connections to the health and well-being child development standards will be discussed. Participants do not have had to take Session 1 Healthy Habits.
NOTE: If your program is pursuing Ohio Healthy Programs designation, the program administrator must complete the Ohio Early Care and Education Nutrition and Physical Activity Assessment prior to attending their first training and/or technical assistance visit.
