After School Yoga and Pilates - Online


Event Description

This training for after school providers serves as an introduction to Yoga and Pilates for kids. Unique considerations and safety guidelines for kids, components of an after school Yoga and/or Pilates program, and Yoga and Pilates equipment/products for kids are highlighted. Participants will actively perform basic Yoga poses and view a DVD especially designed for After School Pilates for Kids. The importance and impact of physical activity on lifelong health will be stressed. This training is aligned with the Ohio Academic Content Standards in Physical Education. Recommendations from The Ohio Kids on the Move: Physical Activity Guidelines for After School Programs are also included.
