Meeting Needs of a Child with Asthma through their Learning Environment ONLINE

Event Description

Asthma is the leading cause of chronic illness in children. It affects as many as 10 to 12 percent of children in the United States and is steadily increasing. It is the number one reason why children miss school and the number one reason why parents miss work. It can begin at any age, but most symptoms appear by age five. One of the most efficient ways to help a child with asthma is to be aware and knowledgeable about their daily needs. Children spend an average of 7 hours per day in a traditional classroom setting. In this course, you will learn about creating a learning environment with the asthmatic child in mind.
