Exploring Our World … Social Studies in Action


Event Description

From becoming aware of self to fully participating in the early childhood classroom, preschoolers engage in the work of learning about self and others. This session uses children’s books, learning centers, projects, democratic classroom strategies, and insights from anti-bias curriculum to connect developmentally appropriate practice with the study of self, history, geography, economics and government.
