Making Lemonade from Lemons: Building Parental Resiliency

Event Description

Positive relationships with all parents serve as the foundation of any efforts to prevent child abuse and neglect. Parents are more likely to share their feeling and problems and ask for assistance from staff members they know and trust. Parents who have not developed a lot of resilience may struggle to develop that trust. In this course you will increase awareness of the importance of parental resilience in the prevention of child abuse and neglect, increase knowledge of building partnerships between staff and parents and identify practical strategies to build parents' resilience.
