Event Description

This training will be a face to face event for early childhood educators and paraprofessionals seeking practical, hands on, evidence based best practices for family engagement. Participants will participate in a variety of activities throughout the training. Participants will be involved in an interactive lecture with a PowerPoint presentation created to lead the discussion. They will also complete small group activities to develop a better understand of the Ohio Early Learning Standards and how they can utilize the standards to create a stronger school / daycare to home connection. Participants will also participate in a variety of make it and take it activities to provide concrete samples of work that they could do with families during a family engagement activity. Participants will learn about a wide array of websites, applications and products that can make family engagement a simple and pleasurable task.
