ELA Technology Mini-Training


Event Description

This assessment addresses all essential domains of school readiness which are the domains of the ELDS. This session does not serve as the foundational training for the assessment. This training will provide a brief overview of the structure of the assessment tool in relation to the recording and reporting technology, including scoring formats. The training will provide instruction for teachers of the scoring and tracking technology as well provide guided practice in the use of the application and web portals.

Objectives

Objective:

The participants will identify, describe and analyze varied ways of collecting evidence of student learning and uploading into the technology tracking system.

Competency: 1.1 Identifies artifacts that can be gathered from activities in the learning environment to use in documentation of children's learning and development.
Objective:

The participants will demonstrate their skills to evaluate and identify the developmental levels of young children in the Simulator and Content Assessment pieces of the training; thus determining their ability to administer the instrument.

Competency: 1.1 Recognizes the importance of analyzing and interpreting screening and assessment data in a non-biased way.
Objective:

The participants will work with the assessment instrument and the application creating reports and synthesizing the assessmnet results to faciliate planning for differentiated learning experiences for young children.
