Do physical activity and movement really matter for babies? The research shows that play is powerful way to stimulate infant development! In this training, participants will learn basic motor milestones and will gain a better understanding of how primitive reflexes and sensory processing impact infant development. As course participants learn more about how motor development takes place, they will also come away with a whole toolbox full of creative, unique activity ideas to promote the development of each milestone.

At the end of this session, the participant will be able to describe basic motor miletones for infants.
At the end of this session, the participant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of at least two gross motor activities to promote the achievement of each of the motor milestones discussed in the presentation (10 activities total).
At the end of this session, the participant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of at least 4 activities for infants to promote healthy exposure to the sensory systems.
At the end of this session, the participant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of at least 4 fine motor activities for infants.
At the end of this session, the participant will be able to identify at least 3 other resources that can be used to locate activities for infants and chidren, based on their knowledge of movement and motor development.
