Exploring the Piramide Approach seeks to provide teachers an overview of the Piramide Approach to Learning. This course brings the Piramide approach to life through the voices of practitioners. It offers ways in which Piramide can help teachers to be more intentional as they promote young children’s deeper thinking and learning. This course serves as a starting point for educators interested in the Piramide Approach. The Piramide Approach to Learning was created in the Netherlands to help teachers better understand their role in supporting children’s higher order thinking skills and become more intentional about deepening children’s learning. Piramide is not a curriculum. It is an approach to teaching and learning that helps teachers effectively scaffold and deepen children’s learning. Piramide can be used with any developmentally appropriate classroom curriculum.
