Curriculum & Assessment: Putting It All Together

Event Description

For teachers to be effective, it is important that they observe and assess what children know, what their experiences have been, and what they are able to do. This is done through the use of formalized assessment tools as well as ongoing observations. Discussion will include how assessment and observational information is used to plan curriculum and to guide instruction. Methods for choosing appropriate assessment tools and strategies, appropriate curriculum, and effective teaching strategies will be shared. This session is the last segment of the Curriculum & Assessment series and should be taken after one or more of the previous sessions (Before Curriculum: Developmentally Appropriate Practice; Before Assessment: Observation; Curriculum 101; and/or Assessment 101).
